MineAfrica is a business development and marketing company providing the premier platform for mining companies, service providers and governments to promote themselves to a senior level, Africa focussed audience of financial institutions, analysts, mining executives and media. This is done via four specific programs;

Investing in African Mining Seminars, in Toronto, Vancouver and London, UK (with Premier Sponsor Standard Bank) featuring presentations by mining companies, financial, legal and engineering experts, and African, Canadian and other government representatives on specific projects and investment opportunities in Africa's mining industry.

Specialized seminars Non-African specific seminars focussing on technical topics including Mining Deal Exchange: Mining Financing Opportunities through the TSX Venture CPC Program, Surviving the Global Financial Crisis in the Mining Sector and Risk Mitigation and Corporate Social Responsibility in Africa.

Africa Investor Series co-sponsored by the Minerals Resources Analysts Group. The series is a unique program of interactive, boutique seminars themed around a specific geographic region, or commodity, in Africa. A selected group of listed mining companies present concise updates on their African project(s) to analysts and senior representatives from the Canadian financial and mining communities.

Business development and consulting services including trade and investment promotion, marketing and communications, technical consulting and advisory services for private and public sector, mining and non-mining clients. Our People

The principals of MineAfrica are Bruce Shapiro and Wayne Floreani with a combined 60+ years of international business development and trade and investment, seminar, tradeshow and event management experience.

Bruce Shapiro
President
Bruce Shapiro President MineAfrica Inc. Born and educated in South Africa, Bruce Shapiro immigrated to Canada in 1977. He established A.P.O.C. Inc., a Canadian based business development company specializing in promoting trade and investment between Canada and Southern Africa, in 1991. MineAfrica was a division of A.P.O.C. Inc since 2002, but due to its success and growth it has recently been separately incorporated. In addition to its business development activities, A.P.O.C. Inc. is under contract to provide Executive Director and Management services to the Canada-South Africa Chamber of Business. Bruce is frequently invited to speak at international conferences and has an extensive network of contacts worldwide. Additionally, he has taught international trade and finance at various universities in Canada and South Africa. bruce@mineafrica.com

Wayne Floreani
Vice President
Wayne Floreani has over 20 years of international trade and investment promotion experience and expertise, with a particular focus on mining. He worked previously with the South African Department of Trade and Industry in Toronto and the Sudbury Regional Development Corporation. He has organized numerous delegations at international trade shows, trade missions and conferences including; the annual South African pavillion at PDAC, MinExpo in Las Vegas, Electra Mining, and the Canadian Institute of Mining, as well as high profile ministerial and trade delegations to Canada. He is a current Board Member (and past Chairman) of the Canada-South Africa Chamber of Business and Past President of the Canadian Italian Business and Professional Association of Canada.
