    SECTION A
    Just prior to PDAC we ran our acclaimed 3-day MASTERMINING course Understanding the Mining Industry From A to Z with course leader Dr. Willem Smuts covering all aspects of mining including exploration, financing, production. Details on our next course will be available shortly. The course is also available in a customized version, modified to your organizations specific needs and can be delivered in-house.     SECTION B
    MineAfrica kicked off the opening day of PDAC with its 7th annual panel discussion with leading South African law firm Webber Wentzel on "Is Africa Ready for the Upturn: an open, interactive discussion on opportunities and critical issues in African mining" on Sunday March 5, 2017 at the Radisson Admiral Harbourfront Hotel.

    "The seminar on Sunday was by far the best", said one participant.

    Panelists for this lively debate included H.E. Magassouba, Minister of Mines and Geology, The Republic of Guinea, H.E. Eng.     SECTION C
    The Canada-Africa Chamber of Business 18th Annual Mining Breakfast and MineAfrica's 15th Annual Investing in African Mining seminar with Premier Sponsor SGS and Corporate Sponsor Webber Wentzel took place on Tuesday March 7 at The Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel. The sold-out breakfast - the biggest African mining event in North America - featured an opening address by Issa Dominique Konaté - Special Mining Advisor to the President, Republic of Burkina Faso and a keynote address by John Dorward, President and Chief Executive Officer, Roxgold Inc., debunking the myths of mining in Africa, followed by presentations by African Mining Ministers, mining companies, and advisors to the mining industry.

    SECTION F
    MineAfrica trade show exhibitors participated in closing trading at the Toronto Stock Exchange with the African mining delegation (organized by Pierre Boivin of McCarthy Tetrault) on Wednesday March 8. It was a great way to wrap up a great week. In the last five years, 50% of every dollar raised for global public mining companies was raised on Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange.
