MineAfrica at PDAC 2012 report
PDAC had another record year this March 4-7 with 30,000 delegates and MineAfrica catered to those with an African interest with four programs:
The week kicked off with our seminar on Africa's Mining Industry: The Perceptions and Reality on Sunday morning where participants learned from senior partners of leading African law firm Webber Wentzel about the regulatory uncertainty, debate on the nationalization of mines, financing, and health and safety issues around mining investment in Africa. At the sold-out PDAC trade show traffic was busy at the four MineAfrica booths with nine exhibitors including Earthstone Group, Guinea Ministry of Mines, ITC Global Networking Solutions, the MDM Group, Mining Weekly, Mintek, Roxgold, Spidersat Communications Limited and Webber Wentzel.
