Our 8th Annual Investing in African Mining seminar in London, UK took place on Monday December 1, 2014, during Mines and Money. The full-day seminar, held at the Andaz Hotel, featured an entertaining and inspiring keynote address from Robert Friedland, Executive Chairman and Founder, Ivanhoe Mines Ltd on "Sustaining an Urbanizing Planet. Managing Environmental Impacts. Strategic Metals Essential for the Tasks". The program featured updates by senior mining executives on a diverse range of mining projects in Ethiopia, Eritrea, Guinea-Bissau, South Sudan and Zimbabwe as well as topical presentations on the current state of mining in Africa including Ebola, financing your project, socio-economic aspects, power solutions, strategic risk outlook, Ringfencing South Africa's mining assets and sustainability by expert advisors.
