MineAfrica's Africa Investor Series seminar on October 29 wrapped up an exciting (and hectic!) week of African focussed mining events in Toronto that also included:
  • the Canada-Southern Africa Chamber of Business 4th Annual Risk Mitigation and CSR seminar on October 27, at which MineAfrica was a partner
  • Opening the market on October 28 at the Toronto Stock Exchange
  • the Chamber's 9th Annual Indaba dinner, at which MineAfrica was a Diamond Sponsor

  • A total of 75 participants took in an interesting mix of presentations at our Africa Investor Series seminar covering development projects and producing mines in Eritrea, Ghana, Namibia and Tanzania.

    Opening the market at the Toronto Stock Exchange was a fun and exciting kickoff on Thursday October 28, 2010. See the photo gallery.

    That evening Greg Hawkins, Chief Executive Officer, African Barrick Gold delivered a grounded and inspiring talk to an audience of 150 at the Canada-Southern Africa Chamber of Business 9th Annual Indaba dinner. Laurel Keenan, Canadian Director for Wines of South Africa was selected as the Chambers' Business Person of the Year sponsored by Hatch.
